Korea beat Lebanon 3-0 in their World Cup qualifying match at Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province on Tuesday.

Kim Bo-kyung scored his first goals for his country on the 30th and 48th minutes to put the home side ahead.

Koo Ja-cheol stole the ball on the edge of the box and quickly fired it into the goal in the 89th minute to seal a comfortable win.

Koo had replaced Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-yueng, who hobbled off after 20 minutes with suspected hamstring injury.

The win meant the Taeguk Warriors stayed top of Group A in the last round of qualifying, with six points from two games.

Iran and Qatar, both on three points, were due to play each other later the same day.

If they finish in the top two of the group Korea will gain an automatic place in the World Cup finals in Brazil in 2014. Third place would mean they would have to qualify through playoffs with other teams.
