India's richest family has released photos of what is believed the world's most expensive house, a 27-story behemoth worth more than $1 billion.
Mukesh Ambani, who Forbes magazine estimates is worth more than $22 billion, released details about the interior of the home which includes marble floors, a multi-story garage, a large library, helipads, a spa and a Hindu temple, CNN reported Friday.
Ambani's wife, Nita, told Vanity Fair magazine for a June issue her family decided to release details about the home because "there have been exaggerated reports in the media about it."
The Mumbai home, dubbed Antilia after a mythical island, also includes a ballroom, a theater and several terraced gardens.
"We made our home right at the top because we wanted the sunlight … so it's an elevated house on top of a garden," Nita Ambani said.
She said the family moved into the home in September. (UPI)
