The Guatemalan Embassy and students from the country are to host their second friendship gathering in Korea on April 28.

The event is being held at the Seoul National Museum of History in the Gwanghwamun, Seoul area from 12-5 p.m. It will celebrate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Guatemala and Korea, and give people here an introduction to the country.

Traditional Guatemalan food and coffee will be on offer, and cultural performances will be held at the free event hosted by the embassy and the Association of Guatemalan Students and Alumni. The culture day is being part sponsored by Seoul Metropolitan Government.

Handicrafts and traditional garments will be on display with the chance for attendees to take pictures while wearing traditional costumes.

A photography exhibition of images taken by Guatemalan students Wesley Chang and Bremelin Romero will also be displayed, with the pictures being sold in a silent auction at the event.

Those wishing to attend can register by e-mailing their name, nationality and place of study or work to aeeguc@gmail.com.
