Top actress Jun Ji-hyun, a.k.a. Gianna Jun, will marry a business man in June.
Jun’s agency announced on Thursday that the actress will wed on June 2 at Hotel Shilla in Jangchung-dong, central Seoul, with a man named Choi Jun-hyeok. The agency added that Jun will continue her acting career after the marriage.
Choi is the grandson of acclaimed hanbok designer Lee Young-hee. He is of same age as Jun, 31, and currently working at Bank of America, according reports. The two have known each other since they were in their early 20s, and started dating about a year ago.
Rumors spread that the two may soon marry after news came out in December that they are dating. Jun’s mother-in-law-to-be, also a famous fashion designer Lee Jeong-woo, is known to have recently introduced Jun to her friends as her future daughter-in-law. Jun’s agency had denied the rumors until a few weeks ago.
Jun, who debuted in 1997 as a fashion model, rose to stardom after the mega-hit 2001 movie “My Sassy Girl.” She made her English-language debut in 2009 with the film “Blood: The Last Vampire,” and recently starred in the movie “Snow Flower and the Secret Fan” with Hollywood star Hugh Jackman and top Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi. Her new movie, “The Thieves” will be released this summer.

전지현, 금융맨과 6월 결혼..'연기는 계속'
톱스타 전지현(31)이 오는 6월 2일 서울 장충동 신라호텔에서 동갑내기 최준혁씨와 백년가약을 맺는다.
예비신랑인 최씨는 유명 패션디자이너인 이정우씨의 2남 중 둘째이자 미국계 은행에 근무중인 금융전문가다. 외조모 역시 유명 한복 디자이너인 이영희다. 전지현은 최씨와 어린 시절부터 알고 지냈으며 최근 1년여간 결혼을 전제로 한 만남을 가져왔다.
전지현의 소속사 제이앤코 엔터테인먼트는 “이제 행복한 신부로, 한 남편의 아내로, 새로운 인생을 걸어가기로 결정한 전지현씨에게 많은 축하 부탁드린다”며 결혼 계획을 공식 발표했다. 전지현은 “책임감 잃지 않고 작품활동에도 더 성실히 임하며 좋은 배우가 되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 소속사를 통해 전해 결혼 후에도 연기를 계속하겠다는 의지를 밝혔다.
전지현은 최동훈 감독의 영화 ‘도둑들’ 개봉을 앞뒀으며, 결혼식 전까지는 독일에서 촬영하는 류승완 감독의 ‘베를린’에 매진할 계획이다.
