SK Networks Co., the operator of Sheraton Grande Walkerhill, said it has named Kim Yeon-soo the new general manager of the hotel.
Kim, 55, has been working in the hotel industry since 1986 when he joined Grand Hyatt Seoul as sales manager.
He served as director of sales and marketing for The Westin Group, director of marketing for The Westin Philippine Plaza, director of Oakwood Premier Coex Center and general manager of Paradise Hotel Busan.
Meanwhile, W Hotels said it has appointed Greg Findlay to general manager of the W Seoul-Walkerhill.
Findlay, a New Zealander, has built his career in the hospitality industry in Asia-Oceania including Australia, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia since beginning his career at the Sheraton New Zealand in 1992.
He launched The Westin Auckland in 2006 and The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa Phuket in 2008.
Both Sheraton Grande Walkerhill and W Seoul-Walkerhill are located in Gwangjang-dong in eastern Seoul.
