Yeom named new Google Korea chief

Google Korea senior executive Yeom Dong-hoon was named as the company’s chief executive officer, company officials said on Monday.

Yeom, who is a Massachusetts Institute of Technology graduate, will be in overall charge of Google Korea’s business and operation field, according to officials

“In light of the smartphone era, Google is facing numerous positive changes. We will provide mobile experiences of the best quality,” Yeom said. “Google looks forward to make contributions to its shareholders as business partners.”

The former CEO, Lee Won-jin was promoted to the vice president of Google. He will be responsible for marketing towards global consumers and advertising agencies in Asia Pacific region.
