Duo direct music video slamming bus bust up

A foreign duo has made a music video in response to the black English teacher who assaulted a middle-aged Korean man on the bus, and have since added Korean subtitles.

The video, made by Sonny and Pinnacle TheHustler, portrays that the assault has damaged foreigners’ image in general. “I don’t mean to throw you under the bus but, you make us look bad, when you’re actin’ tough,” Sonny raps on the video.

“It’s already hard for me to get a taxi. Thanks a lot dude, now the whole bus’ll pass me while they laughin at me,” Pinnacle says.

The film also compares the effect of the assault to the way many Koreans felt after the Virginia Tech incident in April 2007: “You’re the Virginia Tech killer and I’m feeling Korean.”

외국인, 노인폭행 흑인 비판 뮤직비디오만들어

지난달 29d일 일어난 흑인 버스 노인폭력 사건에 대해 외국인들이 뮤직비디오를 통해 의견을 표명한 영상이 유튜브에 올라와 화제다.

이 비디오는 쏘니와 피나클 더허슬러가 만든 것으로, 그 사건 이후로 한국인들의 외국인에 대한 인식이 안 좋게 바뀌어 속상하다는 내용을 담고 있다. “너를 난감하게 할 생각은 없지만, 너의 행동으로 인해 외국인들의 인상이 나빠졌어 … 택시 잡기도 힘들고 버스는 나를 그냥 지나가지,” 라고 비디오 중 쏘니가 랩을 한다.

그들은 이번 사태를 2007년에 일어난 버지니아공과 대학 연쇄 살인자였던 재미교포 조승희와 비교하며 “이 상황에서는 네가 버지니아택 (Virginia Tech) 살인자고 그 당시 한국인들이 어떤 기분 이였을지 지금 내가 느끼고 있어” 라고 랩을 이어간다.
