Rep. Cho Yoon-sun of the Grand National Party was named goodwill ambassador for the upcoming 2011 Korean Fashion Culture Centennial Awards on Tuesday at the Imperial Palace Hotel in southern Seoul.
Organized and hosted by Korea Fashion Centennial Culture Festival Organizing Committee, headed by Won Dae-yun, chairman of Korea Fashion Association, the awards will honor those who have greatly contributed to Korea’s fashion industry over the last 100 years. The awards ceremony will take place Nov. 4 at the Grand Hyatt Seoul.
The day’s event will be divided in two sections ― in the first half, awards will be given out in brand, distribution, media and education categories; and the second half will award finalists in beauty, event, industrial design and overseas categories.
