The Korea Tourism Organization said it will hold a K-pop concert on Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Alpensia Sky Jumping Special Stage in PyeongChang, Gangwon Province, to promote tourism there.

The city has been attracting growing attention from international travelers after winning the bid to host the 2018 Winter Olympics.
The KTO has collaborated with Gangwon Province, concert organizer Seoul Cheongwoo, Now Global C&C and Hana Tour International for the upcoming concert.
The show will gather representative K-pop groups, rock groups, ballad singers and rising artists. The lineup includes Girls’ Generation, Super Junior, Infinite, Boohwal, Kim Gun-mo, Baek Ji-young and Baek Cheong-gang.
About 12,000 tickets will be available for free, while 2,000 tickets will be allocated for overseas fans through tour packages, the KTO said. For more information, call (02) 545-8968 or visit www.seoulcheongwoo.com.
