Mario Maurer
The Korea Tourism Organization on Monday said it named Mario Maurer, a popular entertainer in Thailand, as a PR ambassador.
Born to a German father and Thai mother in 1988, the model, actor and singer is one of the most popular celebrities in Thailand.
Maurer is scheduled to arrive in Seoul on Thursday and visit major tourist sites in Korea for four days.
Photos and videos of his visit will be uploaded on his Facebook fan page, which has 300,000 members.
Thai’s terrestrial TV Ch9 will shoot Maurer’s stay in Korea and broadcast it in August as well, the KTO said.
