Moon and Kim are scheduled to hold what would be the third inter-Korean summit in late April, and Trump is also expected to hold talks with the North’s leader sometime by May as he accepted Kim’s offer to meet as early as possible.

“I vaguely think that there may be a Korea-US summit in between, where our president directly explains to President Trump about his experience at the inter-Korean summit (with Kim) as well as his judgments, and where they pool wisdom together,” Lee said during a meeting with South Korean residents in Madrid.
Lee made a stopover in the Spanish capital on his way to the Dominican Republic and Brazil.
Lee said he expects the Trump-Kim meeting to take place in the early part of May because Trump wants to hold the meeting as soon as possible.
“I am neither optimistic nor pessimistic about the results,” Lee said.
Lee also said he expects all sides to work hard to make the series of talks a success because all could suffer political, security and diplomatic losses if things go wrong. (Yonhap)
