Hyorin, formerly of now-defunct K-pop act Sistar, has founded her own label “Brid3,” about two months after leaving her former agency Starship Entertainment.

Hyorin announced the establishment of her agency Monday, saying that it will house video, choreography and producing professionals as well as creative directors, with whom she will produce a wide variety of musical projects. “Brid3” (bridge) was named in hopes that the company will be able to serve as a bridge between music and the public, just as the bridge in music leads to the climax of a song, according to the singer. Hyorin also plans to work with artists of different fields from around the world. 

Hyorin had previously written on social media, “My achievements wouldn’t have been possible if it were not for my Starship family and Sistar members. I’m so thankful for them beyond words.”

After debuting as a member of Sistar in 2010, Hyorin announced her decision to stand on her own in September, about three months after Sistar’s disbandment. The singer, who made her solo debut in 2013, earned the nickname “queen of soundtracks” for having featured in numerous drama soundtracks.
