Camarata invites patrons to ‘Fall into Music’

Oct. 26, 2017 - 14:31 By Paul Kerry

Camarata is inviting guests to join it for a networking night accompanied by food, wine and performances from its chamber singers for its autumn fundraiser on Friday.

As well as performances and a standing buffet, the “Fall into Music” event will run a raffle with prizes including return trips to the US and holiday getaways in Vietnam and Korea.

Camarata is a registered nonprofit organization set up to provide performing opportunities to people in Korea of various nationalities. It runs an auditioned chamber choir, an orchestra and the Camarata Chorale, an amateur choir open to anyone that includes singers from dozens of countries and performs four main concerts a year.

The organization also has an outreach program to perform free concerts and volunteer at places such as senior centers and children’s homes.

The money raised will go toward Camarata’s concert series and outreach program.

The event starts 7 p.m. at the Nuri Ballroom at the Four Seasons Hotel in Gwanghwamun. Tickets are 85,000 won in advance or 95,000 won on the day of the event. See camaratamusic.com for bookings and further details.
