Ed Sheeran’s upcoming Asia tour, including a concert in Seoul, was thrown into doubt Tuesday after the award-winning British artist notified fans that he had sustained an arm injury in a cycling accident.

The singer-songwriter on Monday posted a picture of his arm in a cast on his Instagram account. The UK media reported that the incident had happened Sunday.

“I’ve had a bit of a bicycle accident and I’m currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows,” he said.

Sheeran is due to kick off his Asia tour with a concert in Taipei on Sunday, followed by shows in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and India. He is slated to perform in Seoul on Oct.29.

Organizers for the Seoul concert said they are still waiting for news from the management.

“We just heard the news this morning. We’re still waiting to hear what will happen,” officials said.

Sheeran, 26, is one of the best-selling artists in the world and has a huge following in Korea. His biggest hits here include his breakthrough 2014 ballad “Thinking Out Loud,” and “Shape of You.”

Sheeran recently released his album “Divide,” which broke Spotify records by drawing 57 million streams on the first day of its release -- nearly twice the previous highest.
