Discount for foreign visitors at Coex Aquarium

Coex Aquarium is offering ticket discount for foreigners in celebration of the upcoming Chuseok holiday.

Foreign visitors who present the promotional image of the special discount event posted on the aquarium’s website (www.coexaqua.com/index_eng.asp) or SNS pages can receive a 20 percent discount.

The discounted prices are 22,500 won for 19 and above, 20,000 for those aged 13-18, and 17,500 for children.

The event is held Sept. 29 to Oct. 9. Passport or foreigner registration is required to be eligible for the discount.

Donggang International Photo Fest

Donggang International Photo Festival offers various events, including an international photo competition based on the traditions of the festival.

Visitors can enjoy 10 exhibitions and workshops during the festival period, which ends Sunday. The festival comprises a main exhibition, international contest and the Donggang Photo Award.

The festival runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and admission is 2,000 won for adults, 1,500 won for teens and 1,000 won for children. Groups of 20 or more get a discount.

Herb Island Lighting & Illumination Festival

Herb Island -- located in Pocheon -- will be hosting the annual Lighting & Illumination Festival until Dec. 31.

With its 300-meter wish tunnel, lavender field lit up in various colors and more, Herb Island aims to get visitors in the holiday spirit.

Inspired by European Christmas markets, the festival offers various events, including Christmas-themed soap, tree and candle making, Christmas cookie market, turkey barbecue, and others.

Bucheon Aiins World festival

Miniature theme park Aiins World is hosting the World Nightview Fantasy Lighting Festival.

The festival runs from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. from March to October, and is closed on rainy days. The last admission is at 10 p.m.

The admission fee is 16,000 won for adults and 13,000 won for children. It is open to visitors of all ages.

Located in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, the theme park is accessible via the Samsan Gymnasium Station (Seoul, Subway Line No. 7) or buses No. 53, No. 59-1 or No. 558.


Andong Mask Dance Festival

Andong Mask Dance Festival is held in Andong area with the theme of masks and mask dance.

The Mask Dance Festival has over 50 events and hands-on experience programs including the National & International Mask Dance Performance, World Mask Competition, original mask performances, mask dance learning, madang play, original puppet plays, a world mask exhibit, mask making and more.

The festival is held from Sept. 29 to Oct. 8, and admission fees are 7,000 won for adults and 5,000 won for minors and seniors. Group tickets cost 5,000 won for adults and 4,000 won for minors and seniors.
