‘Mommy’s boy‘ MBLAQ Lee Joon spotted in cinema with mother

Sept. 10, 2014 - 18:07 By Korea Herald
Lee Joon from the boy group MBLAQ recently went on a “movie date” with his mother.

A fan on Tuesday uploaded a photo of Lee Joon and his mother having a good time at a theater in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul. The two went to see “My Brilliant Life,” the fan wrote.

According to the uploader, Lee Joon escorted his mother to a cafe after the film.

Lee was wearing a cap, a hoody and glasses, but did not conceal himself with a huge mask as many celebrities do, the fan said. He seemed to be having a good day out with his mother, the uploader added.

The boy band member seemed to be taking good care of his mother the whole time, which warmed his fans’ hearts. Lee allegedly took his mother out to relieve her stress from working hard to arrange family reunion events during the Chuseok holiday.

Some fans had suspected that Lee was in a relationship with an unidentified woman but were soon relieved to find out that the lady was Lee’s mother.

“My Brilliant Life,” the only family movie screening in cinemas during the holiday, is a touching melodrama about a boy who has progeria syndrome. This rare disease makes the boy look like an old man, since the sufferer’s biological age is much older than his actual age.
