인도에서 가족 구성원들이 어린 여자아이를 산채로 땅속에 묻어 전 세계를 충격에 휩쓸었다고 데일리 메일이 보도했다.

인도의 만푸르 마을에서 일을 끝내고 집으로 가던 주민이 이상한 소리가 들려 그 곳으로 가보니 땅이 움직이면서 사람 목소리가 들렸다고 보도된다.

주민은 곧바로 땅을 파기 시작했고 그가 발견한건 의식이 반쯤 있는 어린 여자아이였다. 놀란 그는 아이를 인근의 경찰서로 데려갔다.

‘타누’라고 밝혀진 여자아이는 누군가에 의해 목이 졸린 자국이 있었으며 누군가에 의해 엄마의 집에서 납치되어 밭에 묻혔다. 떠도는 정보에 따르면 납치범, 목을 조른 범인 그리고 그녀를 땅속에 묻힌 범인들은 모두 동일인물인 그녀의 삼촌과 이모라고 한다.

경찰은 여자아이의 집을 찾아내어 이웃들의 증언에 의해 타누와 그녀의 엄마가 8월 20일부터 보이지 않다는 사실을 알아냈다.

사건이 언론에 보도되자 타누의 할머니가 찾아왔다. 현재 타누가 할머니와 함께 살고 있으며 경찰은 여전히 실종된 엄마를 찾으려고 노력중이다.

Girl buried alive by relatives

A girl in India was buried alive by her own family, according to the Daily Mail.

According to the report, a man from Maanpur village, India, heard a strange noise as he was going home. As he approached the source of noise, he was shocked to see a pile of soil move. He could hear a young woman’s muffled cries as well.

The man, identified as Mr. Kumar, started to dig frantically and found the upper half body of a conscious little girl. He immediately brought the young victim to a nearby police station.

The girl, called Tanu, reportedly “had strangulation marks on her neck.” She also said that someone took her away from her mother, strangled her and then buried her alive in the field. The offenders were rumored to be her aunt and uncle.

Tanu’s neighbors reportedly told the investigators that Tanu and her mother had not been seen anywhere in town since Aug. 20.

As news spread quickly, Tanu’s grandmother came and claimed custody of the girl. Traces of the missing mother, however, have yet to be found.
