걸그룹 미쓰에이의 멤버 수지가 신촌 물총 축제에서 성추행을 당했다는 논란에 대해 해명했다.
수지는 지난 26일 오후 서울 서대문구 연세로에서 진행된 '신촌 물총축제' 오프닝 세레머니에 참석했다.
이날 한 네티즌이 촬영한 동영상이 인터넷에 올라오며 성추행 논란이 제기됐다.
게재된 영상에는 수지의 허벅지를 행사 진행자가 손으로 스치는 듯한 모습이 포착됐으며, 더불어 수지도 표정이 굳어지는 모습이 담겨져 성추행 논란이 더욱 가세진 바 있다.
이에 수지의 소속사 JYP 엔터테인먼트는 "해당 영상만 보면 오해할 수 있지만, 사회 보시는 분이 안내하려다 슬쩍 닿은 것일 뿐"이라며 "수지가 행사도중 기분 나빠했다는 것은 사실 무근이다"라고 밝혔다.
또 신촌 물총 축제를 홍보하는 이목 커뮤니케이션즈도 "전체 영상을 보시면 알겠지만 전체 영상에는 성추행이 없다. 짜깁기 된 영상"이라며 "수지 씨가 서 있는 곳이 1층 높이의 좁은 공간이었다. 사람들이 앞뒤에 위치해 있었는데 밀고 움직이는 과정에서 흔들리면서 사회자가 조심하라 손짓하는 그 과정이었는데 그게 짜깁기가 됐더라. 성추행 등 그런 의도는 없었다"고 해명했다.
수지 해명 소식을 접한 네티즌은 "수지 해명, 정말일까" "수지 해명 짜집기한 거로 보이기도 하네" "수지 해명, 해프닝인가" 등의 반응을 보였다.

Suzy in dispute over alleged sexual harassment
MissA member Suzy was mired in controversy over an alleged case of sexual harassment on Saturday.

After the event, some fans claimed that Suzy was sexually harassed by the event host, who stood next to her in the opening ceremony
In the video clip, which is going viral online, the host grazed her hip and upper leg.
The event officials countered the claim, saying that this would not have been possible in public.
Suzy’s agency JYP Entertainment also denied the claim, saying that it was nothing serious but only a mistake. The agency added that it would look into the case more thoroughly.
