설리 활동 중단 “성희롱 수준 악플…‘심신이 지쳤다’”
걸그룹 에프엑스 설리가 연예계 활동을 잠정 중단한다고 밝혔다. 25일 설리의 소속사 SM엔터테인먼트는 에프엑스 공식 홈페이지에 설리의 활동 중단 소식을 알렸다.
SM측은 “설리가 심신이 많이 지쳐있어 회사에 당분간 연예활동을 쉬고 싶다는 의사를 전달해왔다” 며 “신중한 논의 끝에, 본인의 의사를 존중함은 물론 아티스트 보호 차원에서 활동을 최소화하고, 당분간 휴식을 취할 예정”이라고 전했다.
그간 설리는 가수 최자와의 열애설이 보도된 이후 지속적인 악플에 시달렸다. 그 중에는 성희롱 수준의 악플이 넘쳐났었다.
또한 설리는 지난 3월 복통으로 인해 응급실을 방문했으나 이를 둘러싸고 임신설, 낙태설 등 감당하기 힘든 루머가 퍼져 괴로워한 바 있다.
설리 활동 중단을 접한 누리꾼들은 “설리 활동 중단, 악플러들 없어져야 한다” “설리 활동 중단, 안타까워” “설리 활동 중단, 힘내라 설리” 등의 반응을 보였다.
한편 설리의 활동 중단에 따라 에프엑스 멤버인 빅토리아, 엠버, 루나, 크리스탈 4명 개인활동에 주력할 것으로 알려졌다. (onlinenews@heraldcorp.com)

Sulli temporarily leaves entertainment industry
Sulli of the girl group f(x) has decided to temporarily leave the entertainment industry, her agency SM Entertainment announced on Friday.
“Sulli has been suffering from endless rumors and malicious comments on the Internet. She is determined to stay out of the entertainment scene for a while,” the agency wrote on its official homepage.
“To protect the artist, we have decided to minimize Sulli’s entertainment activities and let her take some time off,” the agency added.
SM also wrote that Sulli’s girl group, f(x), will no longer put on promotional performances for its recent album “Red Light,” making their performance last week on “Inkigayo” the last one.
The other members -- Krystal, Victoria, Amber and Luna -- will pursue individual projects instead. They will also proceed with f(x)’s SMTOWN concert on Aug. 15 and its overseas promotions without Sulli.
