Gay pride parade on Saturday

May 30, 2012 - 19:58 By Korea Herald
A gay rights parade is to be held in Seoul on Saturday. Organizers are expecting thousands of people to attend the Korea Queer Love Festival at Hanbit Media Park, near Cheonggyecheon in central Seoul.

The parade will run from 4:30-5:30 p.m. with live music and activities beforehand. Booths will be open for participants wishing to get dressed up or put on make-up, while cultural groups and NGOs will also participate with information stands on the day.

There will be performances following the parade and free shuttle buses to take people to an after party.

Those attending are asked to clean up after themselves and recycle trash to make the day a success.
