March 15, 2012 - 19:36 By Korea Herald
Foreign Minister Kim Sung-hwan will hold a luncheon meeting on Friday with ambassadors to South Korea from countries participating in the upcoming 2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit, the government said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said the meeting at Lotte Hotel in central Seoul will mark “D-10” to the summit, one of the largest diplomatic events in Korean history scheduled for March 26-27.

Kim will invite the ambassadors of 51 countries, except Armenia, Lithuania, the U.N., the IAEA and Interpol which do not have diplomatic missions in Korea, the ministry said.

At the luncheon meeting, Kim will ask for their cooperation with Korea’s hosting of the summit.

Foreign ministry officials will also freely discuss bilateral issues with the ambassadors at the luncheon.
