신남방시대, 새로운 한반도의 동남아시아의 경협 확대
New Korea and wider business cooperation with Southeast Asia
The Southeast Asian market has been taking on an increasingly important role in the global economy, with its combined gross domestic product projected to reach $3 trillion soon. Based on solidifying bilateral and multilateral partnerships, the Moon Jae-in government last year declared the “New Southern Policy” aimed at deepening relations with countries in Southeast Asia. Various industries in the region are also geared for dynamic changes in light of the diplomatic and security changes surrounding North Korea.
The Korea Herald is hosting the 2018 The Korea Herald Biz Forum in Seoul on Oct. 16, 2018, in cooperation with the ASEAN-Korea Centre, under the theme “ASEAN and New Asia.”
Through discussions on new growth engines and ways to expand into Southeast Asia, the forum will bring an unparalleled opportunity for government and business representatives, regional specialists and foreign dignitaries representing the Association of Southeast Asian Nations to discuss the changing industrial landscape, trends and tips on expanding investments in the region.
Date: Oct. 16, 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
Venue: Shilla Hotel Seoul
